In 2009, while searching for a good classical guitar in India, Rahul Waghmare found the options scarce and unsatisfactory. Rather than give up, he built one himself - a spruce-top classical guitar with solid rosewood back and sides. Despite being a computer engineer and law graduate, guitars had fascinated him since childhood, and that fascination became Aqualib Guitars.
Every custom Aqualib guitar begins with a conversation about the player's style and tone preferences, finalising tonewood specs accordingly. On average, a custom guitar takes about two months to complete, and Rahul's own favourite combination is an Indian rosewood body with a cedar top on a classical guitar.
