This page explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on theindianguitararchives.com.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website or an embedded service stores on your device. They are used to remember settings, keep things working, or (in some cases) track activity across websites.
Cookies we use: analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they found us, so we can improve it. It sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that last up to two years and hold a random ID rather than your name or email. We do not use these for advertising.
You can opt out any time with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Our other cookies
TIGA does not set any other cookies of its own, and we do not use advertising cookies.
Third-party cookies
A few features load content from other companies. When they load, those companies may set cookies or receive your IP address:
- YouTube: pages with embedded videos may cause YouTube (Google) to set cookies, typically once you play a video.
- Google Drive: magazine PDFs open through Google Drive.
- Google Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
- Instagram, Facebook, Spotify: if you follow a link to these services, their own cookie policies apply on their sites.
We do not control these cookies. See the privacy and cookie policies of each provider for details.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (look for "Cookies" or "Privacy" in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge). Blocking third-party cookies may stop some embedded videos from working.
