Born in Mangalore and raised in Dombivili, Abhishekh Kiran Prabhu began his musical journey at six under Mr. Dilip Amrute, later studying Western guitar at the Ravi Iyer Academy and earning five grades of Trinity College London's Plectrum Guitar syllabus with distinction.
At 18, a chance encounter with Hindustani classical guitar changed everything. In 2018, he began training under Ustad Rafique Khan of the Dharwad Gharana, and collaborated with a sitar maker to build the Abhir Guitar - adding chikari drone strings to bridge Western guitar and Indian classical music.
