The Story

Behind every artist stands a story of sacrifice, resilience, and love. For Subhrajyoti De, that story is his mother, Jayeeta - a classically trained vocalist who became his first teacher and sole provider after the family lost his father to cancer in 2023.

From a weathered Hobner acoustic bought at Kolkata's Chor Bazaar in 2017 to the Ibanez JEM JR gifted by his father before he passed, Subhrajyoti's journey has been shaped by hardship, discipline, and an unshakeable love for the instrument - earning him the nickname "the Sonarpur Shredder" at just 16.
